Learn more here about everything you need to know before traveling to Thailand and being a part of a rapidly evolving tradition.

1. Destination and Locality

The Full Moon Celebration is a beach party that lasts through the night and one that began on Kho Pha-ngan island where the Hat Rin beach is located in Thailand in 1985. While it has spread around the world, the Hat Rin beach bash is definitely unmatched.

It is held on the crescent-shaped beach of Kopanang, which is located on the island of Kopanang and is under the jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Thailand.

The beach is just like any other, except that on every full moon, the moon aligns itself with the shore in a manner that can be easily viewed by everyone who is present on the beach. The full moon has an effect on the water, and from the coast, a breathtaking view of the landscape may be enjoyed.

People go from all over the world to spend the night on this well-known beach, which many people work hard to preserve in good condition.

2. The Length of Time It Takes

It is possible to make predictions about when the full moon will appear based on measurements of the moon's size and shape throughout the year. Tents are erected all along the beach in anticipation of the full moon, and the party is always celebrated on the day that has been scheduled.

The moment the moon is visible, the celebration begins. It lasts all night long until the moon is no longer visible. For this reason, the occasion is highly sought after, and people of all ages and faiths assemble to eat, drink, and sing until the sun rises up, signaling the conclusion of the celebration.

Attending the party whenever you want is also an option and should always be kept in mind when opting for a visit since it is held once every month.

3. Festivities And Preparations!

The fact that the party has an average attendance of more than twenty thousand people means that there are many things to see and do on and around the beach during the party, and the excitement never ceases as long as the celebration continues.

There is music playing everywhere, and there is an endless supply of food and beverages, most of which are alcoholic. There are other illicit narcotics that may be found, which are generally not suggested by healthcare professionals.

Many other types of entertainment, such as fire ropes and juggling, may also be seen in the area. The celebration also takes place in the clubs that line the beach, so there is never-ending dancing to the music.

4. Safety and Protection

Accidents are certain to happen everywhere there is a huge gathering, which is why significant security is required in most situations. This is also true during the Full Moon Party in Thailand, which takes place every month.

There are undercover officers stationed around the area, and surveillance cameras are installed in every nook and corner of the beach. In the event of an emergency, first responders are barely a minute away, and first aid units are constantly on standby.

If you are planning to attend, you need not be concerned about your safety because the entire event is heavily guarded by the local military forces.

If you want to attend the Full Moon Party in Thailand, make sure to stay hydrated since there is definitely going to be a lot of dancing and drinks!
